On our first day the weather was gorgeous so we enjoyed the pool, which again was heated, unheard of in Florida but so perfect for a January swim! The activities director (yes there is one, and he is great!) had set up a tie die table where you could make a T-shirt or a bandana, there was great music, they brought us a pack and play on the pool deck for baby wrangling and we’re just generally so accommodating. I’m from Florida so I know this is considered winter but I currently live in NYC so my husband and our daughter and I had a lovely time at the heated pool, taking walks on the beach and enjoying every little nook and cranny that the hotel grounds offer. We had an absolutely fabulous time at postcard inn over MLK weekend. The hotel has a great coffee shop down stairs with local coffee that opens at 7, perfect for families. Again so accommodating for having a young child (1year old) with us and even brought the pack and play out again for us to use while we played the big games!

The next day was a little gray so the activities director organized a huge indoor game room with Jenna, board games, hoola hooping and beer (water) pong! It was really fun to do something while the skies were grey and we even won beer pong and got some free drinks.

Further reminding guests that they are not in just another generic motel, on the wall behind the beds is either a floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall photo mural of a lone surfer on a longboard in the curl of a tsunami-scale wave, a photographic collage of all things surfing-oriented, or a colorful, typographically lively series of quotes from legendary surfers as well as Thoreau, the Beach Boys, Warhol, Jay-Z, and others.We had an absolutely fabulous time at postcard inn over MLK weekend. To lighten and brighten the rooms, they opted for white wood venetian blinds for the windows and a sand-colored, sisal-like flooring that is actually woven vinyl.
